Allstate Sprinkler Corp. specializes in the custom installation of fire sprinkler systems in residential dwellings. Our mechanics are extremely meticulous about their work -- especially in your private homes.
The basic fire sprinkler system has been around since 1874 and has proven itself each time it saves a life. A common myth about residential fire sprinkler systems is that they will leak or go off for no reason. The only reason a sprinkler head(s) would go off is if it was accidentally damaged or tampered with. The sprinkler system in your home has been hydrostatically tested at 200 psi for a duration of -2- hours. There is very little chance that a sprinkler head would accidentally leak.
If there is a fire, ONLY THE SPRINKLER HEAD(S) OVER THE FIRE WILL ACTIVATE. Sprinkler heads are heat activated. The temperature has to reach at least 135 degrees. If smoke is present, but not heat, a sprinkler head(s) will not activate.
Automatic fire sprinkler systems use less water than the fire department would use. A sprinkler head also responds immediately -- saving precious valuables that may not be saved while waiting for the fire department to arrive.
Today's sprinkler heads are designed to blend in with your ceiling, becoming almost invisible. Basic maintenance involves replacing damaged or painted sprinkler heads; annual inspections and water flow tests; and being careful not to block the spray pattern of any sprinkler head(s). Homeowners should check the pressure gauge once a month and open the inspector's test valve twice a year to make sure the alarm bell rings and water flows clearly.
By having a fire sprinkler protection system in your home, you may be able to save up to 20% on your fire insurance premiums.
Fact: Smoke detectors combined with a fire sprinkler system will reduce the chance of loss of life in a fire by 98.5%, compared to smoke detectors alone at 48.5%.
DON'T FORGET: FIRE SPRINKLERS WILL CAUSE LESS DAMAGE THAN THE FIRE ITSELF.
